Research Support
Currently, the Foundation continues to support the next generation of the industry through two research projects nearing completion and a third one authorized for 2007 through the William A. Klinger Research Award. This year's research project with Texas A&M University Research Foundation is geared toward seeking empirical evidence whether Building Information Modeling (BIM) can facilitate the general contractors to do various tasks such as, identification of recycling materials for green construction, bidding package preparation including quantity takeoff and cost analysis, communicate with owner and subcontractors in the coordination meetings, and safety and occupational health analysis.
