STP Instructor Training Workshop

The STP Instructor Training Workshop is a two-day event that provides skills essential to effectively instruct STP courses—specifically how to teach adult learners, encourage interaction among STP participants, and use the STP manuals to prepare and deliver a course. Participants also learn how to incorporate visual aids into the curriculum and get the most out of the instructor materials. Each workshop participant has an opportunity to give a presentation, test newly learned skills, and receive constructive feedback.

This workshop is not mandatory to instruct STP courses however it is highly recommended.

Workshops are scheduled periodically throughout the year. Scheduled workshops include:

Registration for each event will open 90 days in advance of the program.

The cost to attend is $350 per person which includes:

  • Two full days of expert instruction
  • One copy of the Unit 1: Leadership and Motivation Instructor's Guide, which includes the Participant's Manual
  • The STP Instructor Resource Guide CD-ROM as well as the printed version
  • Course packets that contain all course material and presentations
  • Lunch on both days of the workshop

  • Want to learn specific techniques used to facilitate and present successful STP courses
  • Administer STP currently and want to attract more instructors
  • Want to learn about this highly successful educational program for the construction industry
  • Want to start STP in their area or at the company
  • Want to be selected to instruct STP courses
