Beige Book

AGC’s Chief Economist provides excerpts from the latest Beige Book that relate to real estate, construction, and construction materials. The "Beige Book," named for the color of its cover, is a summary of informal soundings of business conditions in the 12 Federal Reserve Districts, conducted eight times a year.

Once a month, tables of PPIs for construction materials and segments as well as analysis are provided to AGC members. The data is from the Bureau of Labor Statistics monthly reports and covers over 50 construction specific data series that are broken down and analyzed in tables and charts.

Simonson Says

AGC’s Chief Economist writes a bi-monthly article in AGC's newsletter, News & Views. The article titled “Simonson Says” analyzes construction industry data dealing with labor supply, materials costs, market conditions and the outlook for the industry.
