Municipal & Utilities
AGC's Municipal and Utilities Division provides management and market services
to contractors engaged in water and wastewater, underground utility, site preparation,
and other types of public works construction. The division serves as liaison
to and monitors other water, wastewater, and utility owner and user groups in the public and private sectors.

- Liquid Assets: The Story of Our Water Infrastructure, a PBS documentary series and media/public toolkit which will showcase the needs for water and wastewater infrastructure to the public in a dynamic new way. AGC provided $100,000 to the project and worked across the country to support outreach efforts, raise public awareness, and secure additional funding. AGC will be recognized as a major donor when it broadcasts on approximately 400 PBS stations nationwide in third quarter of 2008.
- AGC represents the construction industry in the Common Ground Alliance (CGA), a nonprofit group promoting underground construction safety and facility damage prevention among all stakeholders to the one call process. AGC is the sole constructions industry sponsor of the CGA. AGC was also proud to be the first National Launch Partner for 811 nationwide 3-digit dialing for one-call, an effort guided by the CGA.
